Love's 466 in Jasper, Alabama, and Love's 376 in Hogansville, Georgia, had some special guests come in for fuel and food - the 2017 Bandit Run featuring hundreds of Trans Am owners driving from Texarkana, Arkansas, to Atlanta, Georgia.

"It was fantastic," said Joel Dulaney, General Manager of Love's 466. "Everybody had a great time. It was something to see all these cars on our lot."

The Bandit Run began in 2007 to commemorate the 30-year anniversary of the classic film Smokey and the Bandit. It's become an annual event with the route changing ever year. To celebrate the 40-year anniversary of the movie, participants took the original Texarkana to Atlanta journey. The ride took one week with stops at the Tupelo Automobile Museum and Car Show, Talladega National Forrest, Atlanta Motor Speedway and of course, Love's Travel Stops!

"The event was excellent," said Sameh Alkazimi, General Manager of Love's 376. "We even had some Hogansville natives involved so it was great."

Love's employees weren't deterred by the 400 cars and more than 800 people stopping in. Both managers praised their teams for taking care of Customers.

"The staff was amazing," said Dulaney. "They did a great job preparing and helping with traffic control. It was great teamwork, everyone did a fantastic job."
